Another day, another museum. Master Reid and I hit the BM while Mrs Reid and her mother hit the shops. Inspired by his perusal of antiquities he persuaded me to purchase a Roman coin from AD 353 at a nearby dealer for him (I parted with the princely sum of two pounds for this). In honour of JMW Turner's birthday I picked up a nice little Turner print from the museum shop. Meanwhile Mrs Reid's shopping exhibition was punctuated with a conversation with Top Gear's James May, one of Master Reid's heroes. Although he was sans pen and thus unable to supply an autograph, he did inform Mrs Reid I was a top chap when advised by her that I had purchased several shirts of the style favoured by him. We of course were very jealous of her exchange with him. Spent the afternoon having a pleasant stroll between Kensington and Notting Hill picking up a nice cream linen suit at a second hand shop on the way.

The weather looks superb. I can't believe Kirsten saw James May.
