Palaces and Galleries

While Mrs Reid, her mother, and son, headed off to Kensington Palace for a look see and a high tea, I went off to the the shops of Oxford and Regent Streets, followed by a quick tour of the National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery and Covent Garden. I was keen to get to the NPG as I had recently discovered that a cousin (albeit five times removed) figures in one of the paintings. Isaac Newton Wigney was the first MP for Brighton as so appeared in Sir George Hayter's picture of the 1833 House of Commons. A good day was had by all.
